Back to school 2015 - My school supply essentials

School has already started for many students now, meaning that everyone has probably been getting all of their supplies ready for the upcoming school year. I thought I'd share my school supply essentials, so hopefully you'll get some inspiration about what to bring with you.

The first thing I recommend for school is some sort of diary or planner, as you can keep track of homework, assignments, exams and classes in it. A planner will therefore help you with staying organized throughout the year. I use a simple one which is from my father's work. It's very lightweight, so I can easily bring it with me to school. Inside there's a yearly overview as well as weekly pages, with lots of room to write plans for each day.

Then there's the necessary stationery category. It's important to always have a fully stocked pencilcase. I bring pencils, pens (my favorites are the black staedtler fineliners, as well as the black pens from Tiger), an eraser, highlighters, sticky pageflags, paperclips and math equipment.

This year I also decided to get a ring binder. I do a lot of worksheets in science and chemistry and I want to keep them together and organized, for when I need to revise them at exams. The different topics are sectioned by dividers and are easy to flip through.

My A4 notebook is used for taking notes in class. When reading about a relevant topic in our textbook, I'll also take notes about it in this.
If I get a homework sheet or some sort of paper, which I need to keep, I'll store it in my folder.

I hope you liked this post about my school essentials. You definitely do not have to bring all of this to school! I'm just sharing what I've found that I need to have to be ready for school.
I've been trying to improve my blog content and I'll be starting to blog consistently. Please do leave any feedback in the comments. It will be greatly appreciated, as I feel this will be the real beginning of my blog.

Summer wishlist

Hi guys!
I'm going on summer holiday in 2 hours, and so I thought that it would be a great time to show you some of the items I have on my wishlist for this summer.
It's a very mixed wishlist and not necessarily summer themed but just items I'd like to have at the moment.
What is on your wishlist at the moment?

Sun Kissed Summer tag

Hi again!
I know it's been ages since I last published a post, and in general I haven't been a very active blogger. I've had to prioritize other things in my life and especially school has been super busy for me this year. With that being said, I'm very excited to be back and to work on new posts.
Yael tagged me to do the "Sun Kissed Summer tag" and I thought it would be a great way to get back into blogging.

Question 1: When did you get out of school?
I'm actually still taking exams and I'll be completely done on the 23rd.

Question 2: Beaches or pools?
It depends on the location. I have great memories from some beaches but sometimes I prefer pools because it's easier to swim in and it's more clean.

Question 3: Are you going on any summer vacations? If not, what's your dream summer vacation?
I'm going to Italy for three weeks but since we're driving, we'll be staying in Austria for a couple of days too.

Question 4: S'mores or ice cream?
That's actually tough for me to answer. I love ice cream, but there's really something special about sitting around a bonfire on a summer night and eating a s'more. If I have to answer what I eat the most, it's ice cream.

Question 5: What's your most fun summer memory?
Ugh... I have so many. I'll tell you about a recent one, so last summer I held a Tea party for my family on the last day of our summer break. I organized it completely by myself, and we had so much fun.

Question 6: Does your skin tan or burn?
If I put sunscreen on, I'll slowly tan. Generally I don't really burn, but it still takes a long time before I get tanned.

Question 7: How do you wear your hair in the summer? (Down, ponytail, ombre, etc.)
Usually I keep my hair in a bun or a braid in the summer. I find that the easiest and it keeps it in place for when I'm doing activities.

Question 8: Favorite summer nail polish?
I don't use nail polish often but I'd definitely recommend Essie nail polishes. They last longer and I love their brighter shades for summer.

Question 9: Would you rather spend a day outside in the pool or inside watching Netflix?
I'd much rather spend a day outside in the pool. I love swimming and life lately with all of my schoolwork, exams and studying has not left time for much else and I'm so excited to soon just enjoy summer!

Question 10: Sunglasses or hats?
I rarely find sunglasses which fits me well. So I have to go with hats, which I also really like because there's so many different styles.

Question 11: What is your song of the summer?
I'm really not a person to ask for music advice, as I listen to music based on both my mood and the occasion. But I thought about it, searched around on the internet and here's four summer songs:
- Let you love me by Louisa Wendorff
- Five more hours by Deorro ft Chris Brown
- Lean on by Major Lazer & DJ Snake ft MØ
- King by Years & Years
I'm terrible at keeping up with new music but I've done my best to find you different summer songs.

Question 12: Do you have a summer bucket list? If so, share a few things on your list.
No, I haven't made an official summer bucket list. Though I do have some goals and things I'd like to do, but in general my goal is to just enjoy the summer. I'll definitely keep you updated on what I do throughout the summer.

Question 13: What kind of bathing suit do you like to wear in the summer?
I don't think I have a preference but I only have one swim suit, it's nothing special, so that's what I wear.

Question 14: Must-have summer makeup product?
It's more of a beauty product but it's my facial cleanser. I've only used it for a week but I already love it and I'm sure it'll be awesome for the summer. It's especially important to me to take care of my skin if I've spent a whole day in and by the pool.

Question 15: What's your favorite thing about summer?
I love to have so much time to do what I want do to, relax, unwind from school, spend time with my family and traveling.

That's all for this tag. I really hope you liked reading it and getting to know me a bit better. I'd love to read your answers so I tag anyone who would like to do it.
Do you have any plans for the summer?

Down memory lane - 2014

Hi everyone!
It's the last day of the year and I can't quite believe it. I'm the type of person who gets sad, when things end - Holidays, birthdays, Christmas, important days in your life. Because sometimes I almost don't even realize how fast everything pass by.
I want to thank the people who stuck with me through 2014. I appreciate each and every one of you. I'm so thankful for everyone who sticks with me. I've grown a lot personally this year, where I've learned more about who I really am. This blog has definitely helped me with that as I've felt the need to express the real me on here, which has helped me found out who I am.
Anyways, I think I've made it clear now, that I can't believe 2014 is almost over.
For this post I wanted to go a bit down memory lane. But not too far. I'm just going to show a few things, which I experienced in 2014. I hope I'll get to blog much, much more in 2015 - Then I'll probably also have a lot more photos to show in a year.
2014 was many things to me. Hard times, happy times, sad times and much more. I've had a hard year, learning to cope with some things. I'm actually happy to say, that my blog has been with me through almost it all. But that's why I've also decided to start a new series on my blog in 2015. I haven't decided on a name yet for the series, but it's going to be about the small, good things in life. The things which lifts an ordinary Monday up but also the small things like the first spring flower in my garden or a new favourite tea. The small, good things in life, which makes me happy and thankful for yet another day in the life. This is for me to look back at good things, and for both myself and you to remember to see the good things, even though they are small.

Finally let's start looking at some of the good highlights of my year in photos...

... I spontaneously started this blog, which I now see as a place, where I can write down my thoughts...

... In May I went on an amazing holiday to Mallorca...
... I had these cuties and their 5 siblings living with me... Oh how I love bunnies...
... I also had an amazing Summer holiday with my family... We were on a trip where we lived right out to these cliffs...

... At the end of the Summer holiday, I planned a Tea Party for my family. It was so much fun and really nice...
... And I made these cookie bars for the first time at the Tea Party, I've made them many times now, since they are super good...
... I got my first ever Filofax. I really like having it, planning my weeks and being creative with it...

... I started doing Yoga. I didn't know anyone, who did it - But I wanted to do it, so I went for it. I love it and will continue with it in 2015...

I obviously did many more things, which I liked, but these were some of the photos, I could find and I chose for this post. Because even though, they aren't super big, they meant something for how I live my life and they meant something to me.

I wish you all a Happy New Year! I look forward to writing again in 2015 and I wish you a great 2015 <3
Take care.
